Purchase howto
If you want to buy a computer, a screen, peripherals or spare parts, you have to follow the following procedure.
1. Gather necessary informations
Funding source
⚠️ The first thing we need to know is the source of funding for your purchase:
- CNRS
- Université Lyon 1
- other ?
Laptop purchase
If you want to buy a laptop, we must know:
- Mac, Windows PC or Linux PC?
- Do you need an external screen?
- Do you need a keyboard?
- Do you need a mouse?
- Do you need a USB hub or docking station?
- Do you need a protective case or sleeve?
Note
By default we will prepare a quote for one of our current typical configurations.
Workstation purchase
If you want to buy a workstation, we must know:
- Mac, Windows PC or Linux PC?
- Any special computing needs (CPU, GPU...)?
- Do you need a screen?
- Do you need a keyboard?
- Do you need a mouse?
- Do you need a USB hub or docking station?
Peripherals purchase
If you want to buy a peripheral (screen, mouse, keyboard, external drive...), please describe what you need or want as precisely as possible if you have specific requirements.
Spare parts purchase
For spare parts purchase (laptop battery, etc.), please give us the specific model of your computer, and its service tag if available.
2. Ask for a quote
Send an email to devis_infos.lbbe@univ-lyon1.fr with the above informations.
We will send you back a quote, please check carefully that it corresponds to your request.
3. Send the quote to administrative department
Send the quote to commande.lbbe@univ-lyon1.fr so that your order can be processed.
Note
For accessories or spare parts orders, we may wait to regroup purchases to reduce related administrative work. In this case we will send the quote to the administrative department ourselves.
